Intercultural Case Lab – Pilot Session

When

May 25, 2026
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm UK Time

SIETAR UK in collaboration with SIG Migration and SIETAR Switzerland invite you to join our pilot 1‑hour online session for an engaging deep dive into real intercultural moments from the early reception of newly arrived migrants.

We welcome trainers, practitioners, volunteers, and anyone interested in supporting those who work with asylum seekers and refugees across Europe.

Together, we will connect with peers, explore real-life cases, and exchange practical approaches for navigating intercultural challenges in first‑reception settings.

What to expect:

  1. Meet & Set the Scene– brief introductions and presentation of the case (IncluKit Case Narrative #1:https://ws.uni.opole.pl/inclukit/)
  2. Interpret & Analyse– look at the situation through different intercultural lenses.
  3. Discuss & Co‑Create Solutions– explore multiple possible ways forward.

Join us – the SIG co-chairs Paula Nestea and Dr Katharina Addington-Lefringhausen – to reflect, learn, and strengthen the support we offer to volunteers, professionals, and newly arrived migrants.

Note: If there is sufficient interest, we will offer a second session on 24 August from 6:30–7:30 pm
